Description
You will be stepping in
to look after an established team of Account Managers and Account
Executives, with existing projects in the pipeline. You'll be managing
your own major clients as well as overseeing Account Managers and their
varied clients (from telecoms to travel and logistics)- you'll work
closely with your clients to develop and deliver a range of brand
experience, conferences, events and communications projects. You will be
the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients where your ability
to forge strong relationships will position you as a trusted advisor.
You will help to retain and grow those clients by delivering excellent
and effective campaigns, as well as by developing new business
opportunities through your own creative and strategic input.
Key Responsibilities:
You'll head up your own team to manage and develop strategic relationships with key clients, with a focus on:
• Being the main point of contact for clients – managing issues, opportunities, budgets and organic growth of their business & liaising with clients at a senior level on a day-to-day basis
• Promoting the expansion of business with existing clients
• Working with other senior managers to generate new accounts
• Seamlessly including added value digital integration within the agency’s wider PR services Working on digital and social media PR campaigns that run across all key social platforms and communities.
• Day to day management of the project team, ensuring successful delivery of projects (public relations campaigns, conference management & special events)
• Manage your team - and oversee the development of their accounts
• Team recruitment, appraisals including goal setting and workload management
• Presenting and pitching for new business
THE CANDIDATE
SRC is looking for someone with an excellent track record within the public relations and conference management agency world - with great account & project management skills. The candidate must have great team leadership skills, with line management experience with proven experience of working on a varied range of conferences & public relations campaigns for corporate clients. Experience in creating strategic communications plans, as well as understanding how to plan and execute conferences and any scale (small and large) is key. Bringing an enthusiasm and excitement to developing client relationships, and maximizing the success of your projects and your people is very important at SRC.
Key requirements:
• Minimum 4 years proven experience in a management role, with a proven record in public relations and conference management experience
• Knowledge and experience running all types of events (conferences, incentives, seminars, workshops etc)
• Knowledge and experience working in public relations with an understanding of the media landscape in Tanzania. Excellent writing and editing skills in both English & Swahili
• Experience in creating strategic communications plans from conception to delivery
• Experience working with varied corporate clients & the ability to create budgets and monitor client profitability
• Proven experience of developing client relationships and business
• Ability to play a key role in developing and presenting new business pitches – with a proven ability to negotiate & sell an idea
• Confident, with drive and tenacity
• Honest team player with good sense of humor
• Management ability to lead, inspire and develop a team
